Yes. Our data comes directly from ASTRA's TARGA files. The main file is updated monthly (on the 10th), and new approvals are integrated weekly via the ASTRA newsletter.

Yes. You can enter the full 17-character VIN from your registration document — the system automatically truncates it to the first 9 characters to query the index efficiently.

Passenger cars, motorcycles and trailers type-approved in Switzerland. Data is imported from the separate ASTRA files (TG-Automobil, TG-Moto, TG-Anhänger) and the emissions file.

• Bolt pattern (PCD): number of holes × diameter in mm (e.g. 5×112).
• Hub bore: centre bore in mm (e.g. 57.1).
• Offset ET: in mm, positive or negative. Tolerance approx. ±10 mm, check cantonal MFK rules.

ASTRA data indicates the original equipment tyres (factory-fitted). Other sizes may be approved separately via a cantonal assessment. Always consult a professional or your cantonal road traffic office before fitting tyres outside the original specification.

No, the number of mounting holes must be strictly identical between the wheel and the hub. There is no legal adapter to go from 4 to 5 holes in Switzerland. Fitting such a combination would fail the technical inspection and poses a serious road safety hazard.

Web tokens are a pay-as-you-go payment unit for accessing premium data without a monthly subscription. 1 token = 1 full vehicle lookup or 1 PDF export. Tokens can be purchased in packs from your personal area and never expire. Ideal for occasional users.

Yes. Without registration, each user can view 10 data sheets per month with engine and emissions data. Weight (mass) and wheel/tyre data require a token or a subscription from the Starter level (9 CHF/month). Creating a free account requires no credit card.

Yes. Our Business (199 CHF/month) and Business+ (399 CHF/month) plans are designed for professionals with high volumes (5,000 to 15,000 sheets/month), bulk CSV export access, and multi-user management. For needs >15,000 sheets/month or white-label integration, contact us for an Enterprise quote.

The REST API is available from the Pro level (49 CHF/month). It lets you query our data directly from your application via HTTP calls. Authentication via Bearer Token (Laravel Sanctum). Interactive documentation available at /api/docs. Each call consumes 1 API credit included in your monthly quota.

Yes. reception-par-type.ch is hosted in Switzerland and compliant with the FADP (Federal Act on Data Protection) and the European GDPR. Your data is never sold to third parties. You can request the complete deletion of your account and data at any time from your personal area.
